This first addition to my line is quite a departure from my normal Treasures. I love them and haven’t had them off since I made them : )

Lustrous horns surmounted by rings and chains of precious metal. Like everything, they are modifiable and you can tint the white horns to any colour your heart desires.

Enjoy travelling in the forest. Don’t talk to any bad wolves!

They glow, they sparkle, they have particles! I wanted to people to have a choice of how much Christmas spirit they had so there are four versions in the set – with varying degrees of festivity! Just glow; glow and nano bling; glow and bigger bling and for the piece de resistance: glow, bling and PARTICLES!

Which reminds me – my next new release won’t be from my fey forest, but will be a fantasmagorical Christmas release. I am finishing up the graphics for it now, so it should be released sometime today. \o/

This is the latest release for the Treasures line of piercings. The Tantrum Lip Piercing is a heavy knot of rings piercing the lip, with a hanging chain and small pendant. I love these strong piercings.

Now I will turn my attention away from piercings and enter the woods of fey.  I have some deliciously strange and pretty things to finish and tweak. All things (and time sinks) being well they’ll be finished this week and I can release them before the weekend.

To celebrate the opening of the two new stores I decided to redo my logo and all the vendor pictures, as well as discarding some items, adding more in and combining still others. Plus I got all teknicul and added in some awesome vendor scripts from the gorgeously generous and talented Miriel.

And now I am redoing all the Xstreet items too! :more panic: I’m about halfway through changing and discarding old listings and then I’ll be uploading even more. I will have everything done soon! Tomorrow!! Procrastination is no longer my middle name! lol

One of my problems is that I have been having so much fun torturing prims to make more pretty things that I am neglecting the pretty things I already have. Poor neglected pretty things!! But I must do the backlog, because I am so keen to get the new pretties up into vendors and on Xstreet. Yay for motivation!

So – off I go to Xstreet tonight. And then I might play a little bit of Guild Wars! I really have too many time sinks in my life…

Here is a small collection of pieces started on a whim and an idea.

This was a release for Valentine’s Day 2009, which I sent as a Valentine’s day present to the member’s of the SLUniverse group inworld. I titled it ‘Captured Hearts’ as a celebration of love and of the fact that my heart was completely free and unfettered : )

I’ve always been intrigued by the use of rosaries as jewelry, so I made my own : ) I also wanted to make a longer than normal chain using beads and links as an alternative to a simple chain, which lent itself perfectly to the traditional rosary.

One of the most fantastic uses of SL is to explore ideas and fashions that don’t appeal in your real everyday life. I am never going to be tattoo’d or have my face pierced in real life, so it is lots of fun to play with these fashions in a way that is non-permanent! I used to sell my piercings separately but with the recent shop upgrades I made the basic piercings into one package for men and for women.

I’ve usually been more inclined to the delicate inticate styles of jewelry but occasionally I will be inspired to make a stronger, more modern piece as with the early Lily set. This piece came to me while I was ‘doodling’ with textures and prims and I liked it so it got lucky and received life as a necklace!

November 2008 marked a turning point for many aspects of my life – my real life and the virtual life of my avatar Circle. Each affected the other. I even had some doubt about continuing in SL with Circle. However …. grief fades, life moves on and must be lived. After months of concentrating on surviving the many changes of my life, things started to settle down and I regained my emotional balance.  And then in weird twists of fate life began improving in leaps and bounds, and even though my emotional balance was challenged again it was for the most beautiful of reasons <3 When this strong new influence had in it’s turn been incorporated into the new balance of my life, my thoughts finally turned to building in SL again.

This piercing is more complex than the previous piercings I had done and it’s title sums up how I felt during the tumultuous end of 2008.

One of the first sets I made was at the request of my dear friend Maya. A delicate headpiece and necklace set of silver and moonstones. For this first set I adopted an ancient Celtic triple knot pattern.

My next commission was  for a beautiful elf named Aymenday. Aymenday has requested and inspired quite a few pieces and this is the first, and appropriately named after her : )

Aymenday started a different role playing sim and commissioned me to make pieces for the circle of Elven councillors, and of course for the Queen : ) I’ve renamed them for general release in the store.

I have many ideas for future building projects in this delicate beautiful style, which has made Aymenday’s eyes sparkle! lol One of these days I must take up one of the offers to join a role play sim. Maybe I could be a witch!!

Most of my earliest builds have been consigned to the great trash can in the sky – never to darken my eyes again!  A rare few however, have made it through.  Most have been tweaked as my skills have improved, and some have undergone complete facelifts.  Because of the indecision I used to feel when it came to naming jewelry pieces and sets, for a long time I named them after the friends I made in my travels through SL : )

Susan: my first and best friend in SL. She took me to building classes, nightclubs, shared her home with me and is still one of my best friends in real life and in my virtual life <3

One of the next builds I made that is still in store is called Elphie : ) Elphie is a sweet witch of a girl who has a wicked sense of fun and mateship. Excellent for long convo’s! <3 While building the necklace of this set was when I first realised that the maximum amount of prims which could be linked into one group is 256. I was mighty ticked off when I came across that restriction lol For which I now thank my lucky stars, otherwise I would be creating sim crashers left, right and centre! And goodbye to any chance of teleporting anywhere! : P

Lily: an awesome Aussie who used to be one of the regulars at Jade’s Jazz, one of the first clubs Susan took me to. Aaaaaah the absinthe, the pirate babbler, the gesture foo…. *laughs* Good times!

My darling brother made a brief foray into Second Life before being lured away again by Twitter and Facebook *shakesfist*.  He called his avatar Ancalagon, so I had the perfect name for my first men’s jewelry set : ) This was also one of my favourite pieces displayed at huge fairday market for a role playing group of sims: the Everwind sims of Elves and Dragons and Warriors. Sadly Everwind is no longer part of Second Life, but my enthusiasm for elvish jewelry building was born : )

This second men’s necklace was a build I made specifically for the Everwind Festival. It uses Celtic shields on the necklace and the original set included leather wrist cuffs which had the same shields repeated in the pattern. I don’t like them anymore : P so they have disappeared to the great gladiator floor in the sky. I also had some slightly awesome freebies for that Festival. Metal coiled around a manly bicep, trailing leather thongs handy for tying a slave girl with! Hmmm….. I must see where they have got to…….. Ahem yes anyway, let me present the Celtic Shield men’s necklace : )

This next men’s necklace was built at a request from a stranger. I can’t remember his name because he used about 5 different avatars lol all of which he introduced to me. It was very bewildering : P He requested an anchor which was a fun project  : ) This picture doesn’t show very well but there is a tiny chain wound around the anchor to represent rope. I think a sailing group may have adopted this one because they seem to be bought in lots of ten!

Because of my love of my prim gardens I was inspired to make a floral wreath for my pixel doll’s hair. Originally it was in only 2 colours but I have since expanded the range to include six different gemstones and metal in the flower petals.

The last design I’ll include in this batch is an adaptation of the Ancalagon necklace that was requested by my dear friend <3 Miranda : ) I wanted to keep the option of leather available to be faithful to the original men’s set so I made two versions for her.

I started building within days of beginning my exploration of this fabulous virtual world.  The building blocks of Second Life (TM) are called prims – rudimentary blocks, spheres and torii of ‘plywood’, and I am what is commonly referred to as a prim hog. *grin* After many sandbox adventures of misshapen prims I was given a quiet space to concentrate and started playing with tiny prims; torturing them into weird shapes which I coaxed and cajoled into items that I enjoyed.

That was circa March 2007. By about May 2007 my dear friend Maya (<3′s) lent me her 512 and I opened my tiny store at Sarcee. This is a shot of the empty store before I placed any vendors.  I’ll try and find better pictures than these when I have a chance to go through my nightmare of an inventory!

After about a year at Sarcee it was time to branch out and I opened the much bigger store at Star Scythe, where fellow jeweller Elphie Broome joined me. I also displayed artworks by Squidliquid Loon. Again – another shot of an empty store lol

And now I have 2 stores – my floating island at Horseshoe and at <3 Psyke Phaeton’s PSD Security Orb store at Shipley. I’ll just go and take some pics *grin* brb
